About 'Any Old Film'

          Lights, camera, opinions...
Welcome to Any Old Film, the humble little page that serves as an outlet for myself (Marcus) and a few friends (Alex, Sam, Travis, Emily, and Diane) who will use it to state our opinions on any films we may have watched recently. In short, it's a movie review blog. Now, when I say we review any film we've recently watched, that doesn't necessarily mean recent films. We each own an eclectic library of movies and the means with which to view them, so don't be surprised to see a review of the original version of The Crazies (1973) or A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) rather than the remake; who knows what could happen? The reviews we decide to post will be entirely up to the writers and therefore, completely random, meaning we won't really do requests and it may take a while before you see a review for a movie you like, or have even seen for that matter. Sucks, I know, but hopefully this format will serve as a good way to introduce you to great films you didn't know about, or steer you away from some you were deciding on whether or not to see.
Another point I should make is that all the contributers to this blog do not necessarily agree with each other on every movie. Because of these differences of opinion, there may be more than one review posted for the same movie, as a sort of addition, or counterpoint to the original. That's not to say this will happen often, but sometimes we get awfully opinionated about certain films (Sam, I'm sorry but The Pink Panther 2 will never be a good movie no matter how many great comedians are in it, and you're going to hell for thinking that).
A final point I should make, although you all know this already. Our word is not law. Just because we don't like a movie doesn't mean it's bad, and we may praise what you consider the shittiest piece of shit to have ever been shit. But please don't try to start an argument to persuade us otherwise. If you disagree with us that's fine, but we can be pretty stubborn, so reading about how furiously you disagree with us won't do much to change our minds. That being said, we still appreciate your input about movies, good or bad, and thank you for your patronage and support of the world of cinema.

          ...And action!
